French

This Thursday's lecturer is French - http://www.funeralfrench.blogspot.co.uk/
I've not done a portrait like this before so it's been fun to try something different. The poster will just be his face and the venue/time info at the bottom, probably in the same place as the Yuri Suzuki poster.

Yuri Suzuki Lecture Poster

Yuri Suzuki is giving a lecture at our uni on Thursday and this is the poster I've done based on his Denki Puzzle project. My soldering leaves a bit to be desired but the LED definitely flashes!

Yuri Suzuki poster idea

5 minute mock up for what I’d like to do for the first lecture poster using Yuri Suzuki’s Denki puzzle pieces. I saw some of his stuff at the Design Museum in the summer and it was pretty cool, the Denki puzzle stuck in my mind for quite a while so it’s cool to see he’s giving a talk. That k looks a bit too t like

Tori Amos, Royal Albert Hall

I saw Tori Amos play with the Metropole Orchestra last Wednesday and I took a screenprint from one of our second year workshops along for her to sign. There was a big group of us waiting and a guy came out saying she'd have half an hour for the meet and greet, and that we could have either a photograph or one thing signed. We were quite near the beginning of the line and managed to get both, but the guys around her were trying to get people moving along quickly. I think she liked the print, she was pointing to the collar and remembered that it was from a photoshoot in Paris. It was quite nice to see that she was actually looking at it and wasn't too concerned about rushing.

The concert was fantastic, it was great to see her so obviously enjoying every minute.

Here's a portrait that may or may not be in progress.
