Figurrr Drawring

Life drawing started again last Wednesday! I'm also doing a Tuesday class with my friends at college, so I'm using the Wednesday class to have fun and get in some extra stuff for college.

Final few pages from the concertina book -

Loading Mercury With a Pitchfork - Richard brautigan
Loading mercury with a pitchfork
your truck is almost full. The neighbors
take a certain pride in you. They
stand around watching.

Karma Repair Kit: Items 1-4 - Richard Brautigan
1. Get enough food to eat,
and eat it.
2. Find a place to sleep where it is quiet,
and sleep there.
3. Reduce intellectual and emotional noise
until you arrive at the silence of yourself,
and listen to it.
4.

And here's the whole book -

I might do a couple more but I have a bunch of other stuff to do before term starts again.

AS Level results came out on Thursday - 3 As and a B!

More of the same

Last week's work -
Monoprinting = a pile of poo!

Extract from Crow Maiden - Richard Brautigan
After you have learned all their secrets

and think the way they do
and your love caresses their feathers

like the walls of a midnight clock,

they will fly away and take you with them.

And you will go where crows go

And you will know what the crows know.

Richard Brautigan -

EARLY SPRING MUD PUDDLE
AT AN OFF ANGLE

That’s how I
feel.

THE CURVE OF FORGOTTEN THINGS - Richard Brautigan

Things slowly curve out of sight
Until they are gone. Afterwards
Only the curve
Remains.

I'm not normally one for poetry, but some of these are beautiful -

Arty art

This is my final piece for the 8 hour AS art exam. A portrait of Leo's brother, Bertie -

And this is the summer project. We have concertina books and have to illustrate beat poetry. We have to find interesting ways of incorporating the text into the illustrations.
This is how it's looking so far -

The first one -
Color as Beginning - Richard Brautigan
Forget love
I want to die
in your yellow hair

And the second -
We meet. We try. Nothing happens, but - Richard Brautigan
We meet. We try. Nothing happens,
but afterwards we are always embarrassed
when we see each other. We look away.
